2fa notification not popping up in phone

Hello! I'm trying to use the icloud account on my work macbook. It is asking me to provide the credentials, and in the popups, i've entered the user name and password. Next it is asking me to enter the 2FA 6 digit number from the phone. I don't see any popup, there is no dnd enabled as well. I tried it several times with no luck. Next i tried(On phone) to go to the settings > Name >Password & security > 'Get verification code', I got a 6 digit code which i tried to enter the code on the mac, it says that it is an invalid code. Could some one help me understand what is going on? why doesn't the mac recognize the verification code?

Different problem, i have the 'Two-factor authentication' toggle disabled on iphone, i cannot disable it for some reason.

Hello,

From your end it can be hard to tell if the device is managed and what settings are restricted. The configuration profiles can hide certain settings and prevent others from being enabled/disabled.

Hello,

First thing I wanted to mention is that your work MacBook may be configured and managed by your employer which could be limiting the ability for you to sign into it with your personal Apple ID.

Can you clarify which state your Two-factor authentication is in? " i have the 'Two-factor authentication' toggle disabled on iphone, i cannot disable it for some reason."

I tried the same from my non work macbook. It asked me to login again to the icloud, it never sent the 2fa popup or sms to my phone. Macos v 13.0.1. At the same time, i tried to login to support community here using apple id, it was able to push the 2fa popup to my phone. I used it to login. Definitely the system is unable to push the 2fa somehow, the browser is able to send it though.

how to know if the laptop has it configured disabled?
