Ipad sleeping when i touch or move it a certain way

i just got a new ipad pro and it works fine other than that the screen randomly sleeps when i move or touch it in a certain way. Ive been trying to figure out what position or what makes it fall asleep cuz im not touching the off button or the volume buttons when this happens. Ive already tried changing the amount of time before it sleeps still no change. It randomly does this so i cant replicate it but i want it to stop 😭
