Hello Oz75,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

We want to help you recover the audiobook to your device.

You would need to sign in with the same Apple ID that was used to make the purchase to regain access to the purchase. See here:

"Download books and audiobooks you purchased on other devices

You must be signed in to the Book Store or Audiobook Store with the same Apple ID you used to buy or download the books.

  1. In the Books app  on your Mac, click All (or another collection) in the sidebar.
  2. Double-click a book or audiobook that has an iCloud status icon  below it to download and open it.

Tip: You can have books you purchase on other devices download automatically to your Mac. In the Books app on your Mac, choose Books > Settings, click General, then select “Download new purchases automatically.”"

This Apple Support page has the full details: Download purchased and updated books or audiobooks in Books on Mac - Apple Support

We hope this helps to download the audiobook that you previously purchased.

Cheers!
