IPad Auto-Switches from “Dark” to “Light” Mode, and “Light” to “Dark” Mode: Disable “Automatic” setting

I read the Apple forums on this topic, and could not find an answer that worked. This should work: If the “Automatic” setting just below the Dark and Light mode radio buttons is enabled — which seems natural to do — then one must also set the time under “Options” in which this Automatic setting applies, such as “Dark Until Sunrise”.

To override interpretation of “Sunrise” with local weather data, the easiest is to simply DISABLE “Automatic” setting so you do not have to further specify when to start, stop Dark mode. If you prefer dark mode always, as I do, just disable Automatic. I’m hoping this will work. Merry Christmas 2022 everyone!!
