Dark mode issue

My iPad Pro is scheduled to turn dark mode on at sunset. However, lately I noticed that dark mode did not turn on at the given moment. Has anyone had this same issue and perhaps a solution?

Verify it is Automatic:

Go Here: Use Dark Mode on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

As it Reads: "To turn Dark Mode on automatically at sunset or at a specific time, go to Settings > Display & Brightness and select Automatic. Then tap Options to set a schedule for Dark Mode."

"Dark mode issue: I know that. The point is that often the screen doesn't go to dark mode despite the schedule being set. And yes, it is easy to go to settings and just switch 'Automatic' off and on again. But why should I do that, right?"

Three Thoughts:

A. Try Updating your iPad. Go Here: Making Use of a Computer for Updating an iOS Device - User Tip

B. Restore from a Backup:

Do you have any backups of your iPad that you created prior to all of this? If so, restore your iPad from it. If not, then take this as a learning experience, knowing to always create a backup of your iPad every so often, especially prior to making major changes to your device (i.e updating it).

If neither of the above work:

C. Set Up your iPad Anew:

Use this Site: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. Erase all content from your device. Then start it anew. It would come to the startup screen. Proceed from there with the login. Contact the developers, if you need to reinstall something that requires as key.
