air pods pro 2 charging icon

Hi, I read that air pods (I’ve got pro 2), stop charging after fully charged in case, to safe battery life, and not to drain battery out of case. My question is, if so why after reaching 100% on each bud, there is still charging icon showing up, as if they are still taking battery out of case?
