If your device is compatible with iOS 13, these steps can be used to update: Update your iPhone or iPad.

Update your iPhone or iPad wirelessly

1. Back up your device using iCloud or your computer.

2. Plug your device into power and connect to the internet with Wi-Fi.

3. Go to Settings > General, then tap Software Update.

4. If you see more than one software update option available, choose the one that you want to install.

5. Tap Install Now. If you see Download and Install instead, tap it to download the update, enter your passcode, then tap Install Now. If you don't know your passcode, learn what to do.

Keep in mind that if your iPhone is capable of running a later iOS version, that version will be installed on your device.

iOS 13 is no longer available for any device to update to.

If your device is compatible with iOS 13 it will be offered the most current version it is compatible with. iOS 15 or iOS 16 are the available versions at this time.

If your iPhone is not an iPhone 6s or later it cannot be updated to anything beyond iOS 12.5.6
