Works extremely well on the M1 / M2 Apple Silicon arm64 architecture. Much improved over Intel and fully compatible and supported by Microsoft.


If you have a normal individual or business license where you sign-in to 365, then you can most definitely use the Mac App Store to install the 365 Apps.


Otherwise, if you have a discount license, volume license, standalone license, etc. Then you should download straight from Microsoft. Don't use an older downloaded installer, always use the latest ones.
