IPhone 11 keyboard, not working

I just got my screen recently repaired and there’s not been one thing wrong with the screen and it has not been dropped once. I noticed yesterday that I cannot type the letters OKM instead, it types both of the letters next to them. What do I do?

Hello 79firebird,

Let's use the steps below to restart your iPhone:

1. Press and hold either volume button and the side button until the power-off slider appears.
The volume button is located on the left side of the device, and the side button is located on the right

2. Drag the slider, then wait 30 seconds for your device to turn off. If your device is frozen or unresponsive, force restart your device.
3. To turn your device back on, press and hold the side button (on the right side of your iPhone) until you see the Apple logo.

You can also find those steps in this resource: Restart your iPhone A restart can sometime help address odd behaviors.

Should that still persist, do you experience the same behavior when rotating your iPhone to landscape orientation?

If you test that portion of your screen using a different app, such as Calculator, do you experience a similar behavior?

Let us know, and we'll keep moving forward based on your results.

When I turn my phone horizontally, I can type no problem, but regardless of vertical or horizontal, I can’t press certain buttons in that location (the bottom right of my screen). I have gotten my screen repaired before and the adhesive keeping the screen down has not worked, because the technician repairing the screen had not done it correctly so the literal screen had popped up. When I tap on all four corners of my phone, they all sound the same, except for the bottom right of my screen. I’m not sure if the adhesive is going bad again, but I got the screen repaired a little over a month ago and the phone has not been dropped since then. And the phone has worked perfect until two days ago when I noticed while texting I couldn’t press certain letters.

Hi 79firebird,

It sounds like it would be best to get your iPhone inspected at an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider so that they can determine if this issue is hardware-related. If needed, this link will help you find a store: Choose Your Country or Region.

Here's some information that will help you prepare: Get your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch ready for service.

Before you bring in your device
Follow these steps before you take your device to an Apple Store, Apple Authorized Service Provider, or carrier. If your device won't turn on or respond, finish as many steps as possible:

1. Back up your iOS device.
2. Have your Apple ID password ready. For some repairs, you'll need your Apple ID password to erase your device and turn off Find My iPhone.*
3. If your iPhone needs battery service, have the battery percentage at 30% or less when you bring it in, if possible.

If you haven't already, call to check whether you need an appointment before you go to a service location. For example, schedule a Genius Bar reservation before you go to an Apple Store. When you go, remember to bring these items:
• Your sales receipt (if possible), in case your service requires proof of purchase
• Your device and any accessories that you need help with
• A form of personal identification, such as a driver’s license, passport, or other government-issued ID

Best regards.
