Wrong email in Apple ID during new phone set up
Setting up a new iPhone 14 and somehow a wrong email address is showing in the apple ID (it has a period between first and last name that shouldn't be there). Updated the phone connected to a mac so might have picked an incorrect backup by mistake. Now I can't do anything because every step required the Apple ID password to do anything and of course the email doesn't exist so there is no password for it.
I can't wipe the phone and start over because it asks for the password on the faulty Apple ID. How do I change the email address and put in the correct one???
