Hello, so my issue that I’m having is that the conversation thread that I had with one person has now been “merged” with a different phone number. I can receive messages from both numbers but my messages can only be received by the second number. Is this new or is there a way to fix this?

It’s a feature. You must have the different numbers under the one contact.
You can seperate the numbers to different contacts and send a different message to each number separately.
I should have clarified. They are both in separate contacts. When one person texts it pops up as their name. If the other person texts then it pops up their name. It changes the name in the one thread. It’s been a message thread I’ve been using since I’ve had the phone and this has never happened. I haven’t added or changed anything.
