I am sending messages to a friend and the message is getting routed to a different number he has. I have deleted his contact and all the message threads he has been involved in and when I type in the number I want to send to the message still gets routed to the other number. It’s driving me crazy how do I fix this?
This is happening to me as well. I make sure to send a message to their mobile number, and once I hit send it reverts sending to their land line.
Even if I type in their mobile number and don't message them through contacts, it will change the number once I hit enter.
I have tried disabling iMessage and FaceTime, and then restarting my phone. I have deleted the contact from my phone and verified it was deleted from iCloud as well. I have created a new contact with a different name, and it still has the same outcome.
