apple health app for logging asthma peak flow spirometry

Hi all,

Can I read out my spirometry peak flow result to my iPhone and have it keep a log in the Health app? Which I can later graph (or export).

Thank you,

Tony

Hi TWC72,

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today.

You'd be able to add data if the app you are using is compatible. This article will explain further: Manage Health data on your iPhone, iPod touch, or Apple Watch.

"Add information from other apps

  1. Open the Health app.
  2. Tap your profile picture in the upper-right corner
  3. Under Privacy, tap Apps. You can see apps that you already own that are compatible with Health. If you don't see an app, it might not be compatible.
  4. Tap an app and turn on the health categories that you want that app to track.

You might also need to open the app and adjust its settings to allow it to share data with Health. "

For a deeper dive into this, we'd advise contacting the Health app experts at Apple Support.

Have a fantastic day!

The only problem is that the data field isn't highlighted when the shortcut runs, so I need to tap there first, and then enter the value using the keyboard.

Do you happen to know whether a shortcut can accept input from speech / siri, so I don't need to type at all?
