ios 16.2 messages keeps deleted messages timestamp

Since i updated my phone yesterday. I have noticed that message conversations now keep the time stamp of the deleted messages even after I permanently delete them manually. This was not the case on previous iOS 16 version nor is it the case on current iPad iOS version. Any thoughts… and just would like this fixed back to appropriate time stamp of last non deleted message in a given message conversation

Hi Dmbd_21,

Thanks for posting here in Apple Support Communities. Have you tried restarting your iPhone since noticing this behavior? We ask because this may help to resolve the issue you're facing: Restart your iPhone

If you've tried that and the issue persists, we recommend that you connect directly with Apple Support here: Get Support

Kind regards.
