Apple Pencil and magic keyboard

I have seen everyone’s answer on the pencil and how it can attach to the iPad, but I am confused if it is possible to store the pencil to the iPad with the Magic Keyboard already in place? Can I have the keyboard installed and also store my Apple Pencil for travel or does the pencil need to be stored separate? I am aware there are cases out there that can solve this, but I already have the Magic Keyboard and wouldn’t want to waste it. Please let me know if it is at all possible to store the pencil on the iPad 190th generation with the newest Magic Keyboard.
