Change Country/Region

I am trying to change my country from USA to India. After selecting country as India, it asks me for new Billing Address and Billing Method is selected as None. Once I update, it complains about Billing Method. When I select Credit/Debit Card and enter debit card details, it says that the entered credit card can't be used with my apple id. I was reading somewhere that Apple does not access credit/debit card payments anymore but I do not see any other payment method even after selecting India as country. Any solutions?

Hi,

What you describe about cards in India is mentioned in this document About billing for Apple subscriptions and media products in India - Apple Support

Unfortunately the Apple document Payment methods that you can use with your Apple ID - Apple Support

doesn't exactly specify what payment methods will work for you in terms of a requirement for changing country. I recently saw a Community Specialist answer a question like yours and they recommended contacting Apple India and see what they recommend.

Click here --> Choose your country or region - Official Apple Support Select your country, then a product. If you don't see one that handles your issue then keep experimenting with selections until you reach one that gets you a chat session or a telephone call and get the representative to redirect you.
