Charging from monitor and power cable

Will i damage my macbook pro 2019 16 inch battery if i have it plugged to its power adapter and a usb c monitor simultaneously?

No damage. Your Mac is supposed to choose the 'best' source, whatever that means.


In practice it typically choose the FIRST source connected, and if that is adequate, just stays with that one and ignores the rest. Powering and/or charging from multiple sources is a REALLY difficult thing to do.


Your Mac always uses 'smart charging' to charge only when needed. Most of the time it is powering itself from the power source and NOT actively charging.


Your Mac will NEVER over-charge.
