My phone only rings once how can I get to ring continue full rings?

Welcome to the Apple (user-to-user) Community.


My phone only rings once how can I get to ring continue full rings?


It is the ringtone you set that rings, and you can change it if you want.

You might want to check that you are using a ringtone that you can hear ok.


how to change the sound that plays when you get a call.


Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics.

Tap Ringtone

Tap a ringtone or alert tone to hear it and set it as the new sound.

(make sure it is not set to "None".)

NB: You can also set different ring tones for the people listed in your "Contacts" if you wish

Ringtones are generally under 30 secs so they don't use up the battery power.

If all of the ringtones supplied are not long enough for you:


You could add one you like to the list, for choosing.

Eg: Either purchase from iTunes, etc.


or create your own special ringtone


(eg: using "GarageBand" app +

Scroll to: "Share a GarageBand Song as a ringtone"( in article below)

Share songs with GarageBand for iPhone – Apple Support
