How to increase contrast/readability of the Music App controls?

Hello,

Can anyone help me find a way to increase the contrast and/or size in the Music app (version 1.2.0.273) on my Macbook Air (OS 12)? For example the progress bar is so small and light grey with such limited contrast I couldn't even see it at first! The rest of the controls are also too light.

At least one other person asked about it but never got an answer. They posted a screenshot in this thread.

Hello Marlinespike,

There aren't any settings in the Music application that allow you to specifically change the colors/contrast/sizing in that app. You can adjust the overall contrast in the display settings on the computer. These contrast settings would apply to every menu and application on the computer.

You can find those settings in System Settings > Accessibility > Display > Increase Contrast.

If you would like to see Apple add specific options in the Music application to just adjust the contrast there, you can submit those suggestions through their feedback site: Product Feedback

Thank you. That's very disappointing news. I will submit feedback at the link you provided.

I've already had to set custom contrast system wide as soon as I got it because the machine was unusable for lack of contrast.

I've had this Macbook Air for almost a year, and I barely use it because the current UI (like unreadable text contrast) in this Music app and elsewhere throughout the OS is so awful I've just continued using my 13 year old Macbook Pro for daily use.
