Accessories not responding in Home.

I have recently decided to set up Apple Home and have figured out how to get my devices loaded into the Home app. When they first load into the app Home shows the status of the device and when I try to operate within the Home app it immediately changes to No Response. I have removed/reinstalled every third party device, reset my internet, installed the latest iOS on my iPad and iPhone and removed the AppleTV. It seems like everything went haywire when I installed my new AppleTV today. Things seem to work within the competitors app flawlessly. I really want to utilize all the Apple products I own but this has become very frustrating. Any help would be nice.
