Annoying Red blob after disabling Voice Control - MacOS Ventura
I've been searching the internet for hours.... And I got nada. I can only assume that Apple purposefully wants to anger me.
The Problem:
If you have Voice Control enabled, you have an ugly Black, movable Splotch on your screen that won't go away. If you have Voice Control disabled, you have an even uglier Red splotch fixed on your screen that won't go away.
For the life of me, I can't make it go away. One time it somehow got hidden behind another app and I got excited. Then it came right back to the front. Like herpes, but worse. I'm willing to run whatever sketchy script the internet has to offer in the off chance that this will go away.
I will never use the microphone on my MacBook for anything other than a once in a blue moon Zoom call. I would love to just uninstall everything to do with the microphone if apple would let me.
The best solution I've come up with thus far is to enable it, then shove it in the bottom right hand corner of the screen out of site... but I still know it's there... and I don't like that it's enabled.
The second best solution I've got is to throw the 2500 MacBook down the toilet and switch back to my old 500 dollar windows laptop instead.
Any suggestions or advice on how to remove either the enabled or disabled versions of the Voice Control UI shenanigans would be highly appreciated. Thank you!! (sorry for the sarcastic, negative attitude apple question moderator people)
