blocking
when i block someone i can still receive messages from that number/person. why?

Hello maraa07,
If the contact blocking isn't working, you'll want to make sure you've already covered the basics like restarting the device and making sure it's up to date.
Then check to see if you have any 3rd party call blocking or filtering applications installed that may be conflicting with the built in contact blocking. Go to Settings > Phone, and see if you have a Call Blocking & Identification option. If you do, select it and see what application is in there, then remove that application from the device.
If you do not have any 3rd party call blocking or filtering applications installed or you do and the built in contact blocking still doesn't work after removing it, you'll want to contact Apple to report the issue: Get Support
