AMDS isn't in Services.msc list

What do I do to install "Apple Mobile Device Service" (AMDS) on my Windows 11 PC. iTunes has been installed and re-installed.

apple mobile device service is not there? + icloud not working at all on windows 11... hi , i wanted to use easy canvas on my ipad and the software on my computer says amds is not running.. i can remember i saw this service often in the last few years and basically thought its on there... but after searching the web and my computer for a hour i couldnt find it on my computer either in the program files folder or inside the services!!! where is it? how can i get it? i tried everything i uninstalled everything related to apple, and then installed itunes and icloud again. but still the same error - amds service not running! also icloud is not working at all... inside my explorer (or even the new windws 11 foto app) the fotos and the files dont show up inside the explorer, its connected and everythign is up to date even shows synchronised 5 minutes ago but the pics are not there.. i have a iphone since the iphone4 and i always had problems with syncing fotos or files to windows...it never worked longer than a day or two... i tried every tutorial online, spent a ton of hours in the last couple years trying to fix it because i always thought the problem must be on my side.. but from what i have read online most ppl using windows are not able to use it!!! cant somebody at apple could finally take a look at this??? i dont get it... either microsoft or apple messing this up on purpose to make the other look bad and want u to stay in their ecosystem lol! thank you

Uninstall apple mobile device support I have tried to uninstall all the components for iTunes from an older version and install iTunes from the Microsoft Store. I have been able to uninstall every component but apple mobile device support. When I try to uninstall apple mobile device support I get an error message that says the feature you are trying to use is on a network resourse that is unavailable.

If you installed iTunes from the Microsoft Store then it likely doesn't appear as a separate service any more, whatever it does is probably all sandboxed and wrapped up inside the iTunes app. What error message are you getting?

I followed your instructions in an attempt to get Win 11 iTunes to recognize my iPod. When I got to the part where I was supposed to work with AMDS by way of Services.msc AMDS didn't exist on the list to select.

I went on and found the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver, right clicked and worked through your instructions and ran Update the Apple iPod USB Driver. Windows reports that this was successful.

disconnected iPod, rebooted PC, connected iPod. The iPod shows in Win File Explorer as Drive F:, but iTunes still does not recognize it.

I have 3 iPods and iTunes doesn't recognize any of them, even though Windows does.
