Finder window follows me to other spaces (if multiple tabs open)

I have few spaces and using different apps on each.

I usually like to have a finder window open on space1, with multiple tabs.

I work on space2, and need something in finder, I go to space1, open a new tab in finder and do what i need.

Then I go back to space2 to continue my work.. (finder moved to space2, underneath my active window I work in, so I cannot see that finder 'came' there)..

Then I go back to space1, as I in need of the finder again, but it is not there... so i need to chase which space i can find it (as i move between spaces quite often).. then move it back to space1 (where i like it to be).....

This does not happen, if the first tab is active in finder, or if there is only 1 tab...

I could not find a solution to this problem, yet...

Well you are not crazy... I just duplicated the bug. Finder with at least two tabs will intermittently follow you from Space to Space. It works fine with no tabs open.

Workaround:

Right-click the Finder icon on the Dock and go to Options -> Change from None to This Desktop and then it will stop following you. The downside is Finder is now stuck on that particular Space and you can't move it effectively without changing the setting back to none.

Can anyone else duplicate it?

I have reported it as a bug on macOS Beta using Feedback Assistant as the problem exists on newer macOS versions as well as the current 13.1 production release.

Exact same issue. 13.2. No resolution, just the mentioned workarounds. Interesting note: the Finder window will not "follow" to another desktop with a Finder window on it. One user suggested placing a window on each desktop. Too messy for me, but does actually prevent window follow. I rely on Finder tabs for work and am considering downgrading back to Monterey because of this.
