iTunes Windows 11 not working?

Just picked up a new laptop for a DJ controller I’ve also just purchased. The DJ software (rekordbox) allows me to use my iTunes library. So installed the app from the store and nothing works in iTunes. Both my library and store items load, but don’t move from 0 seconds and don’t play. Seems strange the store items also not working? Any ideas please?

Use Edit > Preferences > Playback and look at the entry for Play Audio Using. This will normally be set to either Direct Sound or Windows Audio Session. Changing to the other setting may help. If not set back to the first option and apply once more.

If needs be see Authorize or deauthorize your computer for iTunes Store purchases - Apple Support. Signing into your Apple ID doesn't authorize the computer as well, that is a separate operation.


Repeated requests to authorize an already authorized computer for recent store downloads typically indicates you have corrupt or incomplete copies. Delete the tracks that won't play from your library without hiding from your purchase history. Redownload using the cloud links that should remain, or close iTunes/Music and reopen if they don't show up straight away. While downloading click the activity widget and turn off the option that allows for simultaneous downloads.
