I have a iPhone 6s Model A1688. It is running 15.7.2 iOS, but it says my software is up to date. Why can't I get the latest version of the software?
The iPhone 6S is 7 years old, and due to that age it does not support iOS 16
The iPhone 6s does not have the horsepower required to run iOS 16.
Indeed the iPhone 6S, released by Apple over seven years ago, cannot be updated any further.

The iPhone 6S is so old, it looks like Apple will not offer you any money if you choose to trade it in. However, they will recycle it for no charge.
