Cross country ski in workout app

Hopefully there will be an upgrade to include distance and route in the cross country skiing workout app. It creates errors with the fitness app when my 25k ski is recorded as 5 mi and makes my distance and fitness trends go down.

Apple Fitness Cross Country Ski doesn't map, doesn't record distance Apple Fitness "Cross Country Ski" doesn't map the route & doesn't record distance - basic GPS functions. I know there's other Community answers out there suggesting you simply use "Outdoor walk" or "Hike" or a different option. But why can't THIS option be fixed? Running, walking, bicycling, hiking, etc - all record distance and map. Isn't it simply a matter of adding the same GPS programming function to Cross Country Ski that all these other options use?

Cross country ski workout Why does the Cross Country Ski workout only record time and calories (a guestimate at best) but not distance nor elevation with the GPS? Is there any setting I can adjust to correct this or do I have to use a 3rd party app like Strava?

Tracking of cross country skiing I wonder why the workout app tracking of cross country skiing does not track distance? It should be a main priority for tracking of this type of activity I think :) really miss that!
