I'm trying to get my Roku Tv to mirror my 2022 Mac screen. Both devices are newly purchased. The Mac gives a prompt to enter a code from the tv. But the tv doesn't give a code. Thanks in advance!

Go to the Apple AirPlay settings on your Roku, navigate to Allow Access, then see if Password Requirement is on. You can set a new password there, or disable the requirement (to use just a pairing code instead).
