Strange storage usage by the photos app

My iphone storage says im using 65gb of storage for photos but when i recently moved the photos to my computer it was only about 5gb. Its been bothering me quite a bit and im hoping theres a fix.

if i have a little amount of photos, why are they taking up so much storage? so, i have an iphone 13 pro max, 128 gb. and a few days ago, i checked storage and my photos are taking up almost 70gb, and this is very odd, considering i only have 17k photos and videos which may seem a lot to you, but i digress. does anyone know how to fix this?

Photo storage is taking more space than i have in my iPhone i have an iphone 11 my storage is 128 Gb and the stoarge of the photos only is 189 Gb what should i do to make my phone normal again [Re-Titled by Moderator]
