My number was blocked, and I received a text from that person out of the blue. Is it possible the text was old? I was blocked by a friend quite a while ago. However today I received a text from him and the context seemed like it was ages old. He quickly unsent the message. But Im still confused about the timing and subject matter. Is it possible that he unblocked me (months later), and an old text he sent way back then made it to my phone just today?

If you don't have Read Receipts on in Settings > Messages or individually in each conversation, the person won't know if you read it anyway.
