Too many rounds registered in the swim app

I’ve changed from Watch 3 to Watch 8 and now I’m experiencing that the Watch registers way too many rounds when swimming in the same pool. Any suggestions? Do I have to calibrate the swimming app and is it possible?

Watch 8 Swimming Activity Inaccurate Measurement For a Pool Swim activity, my Watch 8 (OS 9.3) is not counting swimming laps properly. I have tried reset, erase calibration data and unpair options already, they did not help. Any idea how I can troubleshoot and solve this issue. I still did not calibrate with Outdoor Walk or Run, will update here if I see any difference.
