Save photos from iPhone onto computer by month

Hello, about two months and prior I could connect my iPhone to my computer, open iTunes, and extract/save my photos by month. For instance, I do not use iCloud so I was connecting my phone every month to download and save my photos to my computer in case something happened to my phone. Ever since the last update or two (likely iTunes) it doesn't allow for an option to download your photos from the phone to the computer by month taken?

Can any provide assistance with this?
