Importing an iTunes playlist

I'm a windows 10 user, despite repeated attempts I've been unable to share my itunes between users, so in an attempt to have music in a different user's account I created a playlist, then moved it to a thumb drive. I then logged off that user's account and back into another account.

I launched itunes, clicked File, Library, Import Playlist, select the thumb drive, where the individual songs are listed, I'm unable to select but a single track, Control click only selects a single track, click a track, move down and shift click, only the track that I just shift clicked is selected.

iTunes playlists typically contain absolute file references, and thus work only when there is access to the relevant file paths. Windows user accounts don't normally have access to other user's files. Either you can change the sharing permissions to enable one account to read (at least) data from another, or you can in some cases modify the playlist to allow it work with local or relative file references. See my scripts LocalizeM3U and RelativeM3U.

The Import Playlist function expects you to select a single exported playlist file, not any tracks referenced in that list.
