Voicemail
when I go into set up voicemail it ask for my phone number then it says it does not recognize phone number

They are incorrect.
The only part of voicemail that Apple manages on iPhone is Visual Voicemail. Setting up Visual Voicemail is only possible if the cellular carrier allows it, and, if it is permitted, it does not ask for your telephone number.
