No “ apps using Apple ID”

My son’s IPhone 12, that is fully updated, has no“ apps using Apple ID” option, and we both know he uses Apple ID for other apps. I am wondering why he doesn’t have this option??

Hello Mamallama91,

Depending on his age that may be expected:

Sign in with Apple is not available for children under 13 years old. This age may vary by country or region.

You can find that information at the bottom of this resource: What is Sign in with Apple?

If that isn't applicable, you can also double check any content restrictions set up through Screen Time: Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Should you need further assistance, you'll want to reach out to Apple Support: Contact - Official Apple Support They'd be in the best position to look into this behavior further.

Take care.

Mamallama91,

Thanks for the screenshot. Your son might have an Apple ID that he uses in the App Store, however, this is different than using it to sign in and create accounts with third-party sites. Here's more information about this service:

"About Sign in with Apple

When you see a Sign in with Apple button on a participating app or website, it means you can set up an account using your Apple ID. No need to use a social media account, fill out forms, or choose another new password.

Sign in with Apple is built from the ground up to respect your privacy and keep you in control of your personal information. It works on iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS, and in any browser."

You can read the full resource here: What is Sign in with Apple?

To manage his Apple ID on his device you can go to Settings > [your name], and update things there. From there here's what you'll want to do If your Apple ID is locked or disabled.

We hope this helps.

Take care.

Right, he just isn’t being able to follow through with that option for using Apple ID to sign in…. As this option isn’t even in his settings, if I go to his Apple ID > password and security> it should be the second setting however it isn’t even there… like in my previous screenshot, that is of my phone, that clearly has that option… his however doesn’t, what’s circled in red is missing in his settings. Basically Apple isn’t letting him use his Apple ID to sign into anything but the phone.
