Apple TV 4k with Computer Monitor

I have an old ViewSonic Monitor with VGA & DVI inputs. I tried to connect my Apple TV to it with a VGA to HDMI adapter but nothing appears on monitor. Will it work with a DVI to HDMI adapter?

Apple TV is designed for HDMI, there will never be a guarantee with any adapter. Also, even if it were to work it would be unable to work with any commercial content without HDCP compliance and functionality could cease at any time.

The ideal is to use with a TV, but if one were to go with a monitor then it needs HDMI and in order for it to display 4K then it also needs the latest standards for that port.
