external sound card V8

Got a new V8 sound card but cant find a way to be able to connect it correctly. I place the USB cable for charge on my mac air, the microphone jack on condenser mic, the line 1 to th ejack plug on the notebook side . I only get external microphone and external headset but no V8 or USB connection item?? I switch notebook still nothing much . The mic work I can hear myself on the earphone . On Midi again still external device .

Any ideas where I went wrong?? thanks
