Dark Sky’s Time Machine is gone In the new Weather!

I’d like to hear from an Apple Weather product manager why one of the most interesting and unusual features of DarkSky—the ability to see what the weather was in a certain location on the same day going back years—hasn’t carried over to the new Apple Weather.

What possible design or technical or marketing reason could have led to removing a selling point like this?

Why would you want to redesign an app to be less distinguishable from its many competitors by removing a unique feature?

I did fill out the suggestion form for Apple. In addition, I though there’s a chance that if Apple employees monitor this forum they might pass along to Weather product people the user concern about the revamped Weather app.

The team that monitors and maintains the forums is way too small and has way too much to do to monitor for suggestions or feedback. That’s why the Feedback page exists. Glad to hear you made use of it.
