Gmail imap synch issue on mail v16 Macbook pro

Hi ,

I have synch issues on Mac mail after v16 with the gmail imap account .

Every day shows thousands of mails showed to be downloaded after 2 months of daily use.

The number in changing , up or down after app quit or force quit.

Recovery/rebuild/remove add again the account did not solve anything.

The problem do NOT exist for the same gmail account in v14 that in an another iMac 27''.
