What happened to 3D satellite view on maps?

When you went into satellite view on maps, you used it be able to also make it a really detailed 3D mode, but now all that does is have a flat image but slightly at an angel. Was Apple possibly involved in a lawsuit rewarding 3D satellite? Because I know Google Maps can do it, so maybe Google sued over the feature?

Satellite view on locations I downloaded iOS 17. Now when I look at my child’s location, I only have 2D & 3D views. No satellite view. I can go to maps & see satellite view but I would rather have it the way it was before in real time. Suggestions or fixes?
