Just got a new MacBook air. Despite logging in/out of iCloud, turning Contacts on/off, and shutting down phone/MacBook the Contacts on my iPhone are not updating into the MacBook causing me much frustration. Anyone have any other suggestions as to fixes?

Have you checked that your contacts on your phone are synced with iCloud? Use an internet browser and log into www.icloud.com and go to the Contacts app there.
