iPhone 11 Black Screen Issues

Is anyone else out there having issues with the iPhone 11 going black during a phone call, preventing the use of the keyboard or to hang up the call, etc?

Hello Tbonechipsmom1,

The first thing we recommend in cases like this is to power cycle the iPhone using these instructions: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support. While simple, this can refresh the iOS, apps and connections.

If it happens again, then force restarting using these steps from Force restart iPhone - Apple Support would be next:

On your iPhone 8 or later, including iPhone SE (2nd and 3rd generation)
1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
3. Press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.
An animation of an iPhone with arrows pointing to the volume up button, then to the volume down button, and then to the side button.
4. If your phone doesn't turn on, follow these steps to check your hardware and charge your phone. You might need to charge for up to an hour.
5. If your phone still doesn't turn on, contact Apple Support.

These steps should help get things working as they should. If not, reach out to Apple Support using the link above. They will be in the best position to assist you further.

Have a good day.
