When I created my Apple ID as a child, I made an @icloud email address that I am no longer happy with. I receive an unbearable amount of spam email daily, and I want the prefix (______@icloud.com) to be different - it is an old childhood nickname. Is there any way of doing so, or am I locked into the address I have now? I would be content in completely abandoning the old address. Thanks.
You cannot change it, however you can create and use an alias instead so you don’t have to create a whole new Apple ID and lose any content.
