the computer was bought almost 2 years ago but never opened or turned on or charged until today (Was stored in a warm place).Battery was drained obviously. When I plugged it in for the first time… it turns on fine only while plugged in. 1-2 hours later on the charge and the battery is still at 1%. Doesn’t go up and it’s written Service Recommanded : Battery is not charging. No apple care.

This battery probably has gone beyond dead— after never being charged. Letting Lithium ion battery go to zero is not recommended.
