I have apple ipad 9.7 (2017) Version A1823, is it compatible with Apple Pencil 1st generation?
The A1823 model number corresponds with a fifth generation iPad (a.k.a. IPad5). The iPad5 does not support Apple Pencil - as this and other older models of iPad lack the screen hardware with which an Apple Pencil interacts with the iPad.
