Not an Apple error. You most likely using the wrong input source (system settings > keyboard > input sources) . Are you typing with a German keyboard? If so, the correct input source to have your @ where it is printed is called "German Stanard" (instead of "German")

What do you mean by email sign? The @ symbol?

If you are looking for it you will find it on the 2 key.

The caps lock key is worth knowing also - it's on the extreme left of the keyboard.

Sorry, I misread your post before. If you have @ printed on the G key, then the correct input source to have that match the output would be Swiss German or Swiss French.

You're not using a U.S. standard keyboard where the "@" is above the "2."
