Retrieving date from my backups

I'm desperate because I've been trying all day to get all my data back from an old backup. Nothing appears as the instructions:-

Sign in to iCloud with my Apple ID>Apps & Data>Tap Restore from iCloud Backup.

I just cannot get the Tap Restore from iCloud Backup to appear.

Please help me to locate this vital window, so I can proceed.

Please help.

Hello makey,

After reviewing your post, it seems like you have an iPhone and you are trying to restore data from a backup, but you do not have the option to restore. We would recommend you use this article to help troubleshoot the issue.

Are you signed into iCloud with your Apple ID?

makey,

The screenshot's helpful, but it shows your Apple ID. Anytime you are sharing screenshots, and such, make sure your personal info is blocked so it's not seen. This is a public forum, so all information shared is viewable.

Let's get back to restoring from a backup. We have a few questions that will help us understand a little more about what's happening.

1 - Do you know the size of the backup? Looking at what you shared, you have 5GB of storage available.

2 - How old is the backup?

3 - What is the iOS version installed on the iPhone that is being used to restore the backup on?

This will show you how you can Locate backups of your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch that might be available:

"Find and manage backups stored in iCloud

If you use iCloud Backup, you won't find a list of your backups on iCloud.com. Here's how to find your iCloud backups on your iOS or iPadOS device, Mac, or PC.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch:

  1. Go to Settings > [your name] > iCloud.
  2. Tap Manage Account Storage, then tap Backups.
  3. Tap a backup to see more details about it, choose which information to back up, or delete the backup.

You can choose which content to back up only from the Settings menu of the device that stores that content. For example, while you can view your iPad backup from your iPhone, you can choose which iPad content to back up only from the Settings menu of your iPad."

If you don't see the backup in question, depending on how old it is, it may no longer be available. Let us know what you find.

We look forward to hearing back from you!

Thank you for your reply.

I'm fine with the procedure up until the end. At this point I've got a window with all the items in it but I don't see how to actually select a date of a backup, and then import it to the iPhone.

Here's the window:-

So from here what do I do?
