ios 16.2 FLASHLIGHT: #2 Battery Drain!

Having same battery drain issues as most since ios 16 --but despite moving apps to icloud & other measures, my battery drainage is ridiculously rapid.

Upon inspection, my #2 highest battery usage is FLASHLIGHT?!

I don't understand how that's possible. Is it possibly malware, or simply another ios 16.2 issue?

iPhone SE, iOS 16

Hi azbondgirl,

Thanks for posting in Apple Support Communities.

With your battery draining quickly, make sure that you're updated to the latest available software version, that you're charging with at least an Apple certified cable and adapter to ensure sufficient power delivery, and that your battery isn't providing performance alerts.

To check for battery performance alerts, check that your maximum capacity is above 80. Apple advises that the battery be replaced due to a decline in performance at 80% and lower. Also check Peak Performance Capability isn't providing alerts regarding performance.

You can find these specific details in Settings > Battery > Battery Health & Charging. You can find these details and more in iPhone Battery and Performance.

Regards.
