Flashlight using battery life when off

I haven’t used my flashlight in several months however, my battery charge keeps dropping significantly throughout the day, and when I check what’s drawing on the battery, it’s the Flashlight app even though the flashlight is off. Any ideas on how to fix this? I’ve tried rebooting several times. This has been going on for about 3 weeks.

Hi zipgirl,

We appreciate you reaching out to us.

We’d like to gather additional details that may help us be in a better position to assist you.

  1. Have you had the chance to restart your device? Restart your iPhone - Apple Support
  2. Does the flashlight use a significantly high percentage of power?

In the meantime, let’s check for a software update and make sure that you are running the latest version of iOS.

While it isn't inherently assured that an update will resolve the issue, updating to the latest software version for your device can help isolate potential software issues. For example, an inaccurate reading of power consumption.

Kindly secure a backup and update.
