Do you mean that you have put the pictures in order, or do you mean a collection of albums were in order of the album names? And alphabetically according to what? The File name, the date, the title, or what?

If sorting pictures, do you mean pictures in an album, or pictures in Library View? Pictures in Library View are always in the order of their creation dates, and you can't change that.

How did you put them into alphabetical order? If you just move albums around on your own, that's a custom order, and it should be stable. A custom order of pictures in an album should also maintain the order, but it's way easier to mess up.

You can have Photos do the sorting of pictures in an album (not Library View) by selecting View>Sort like here:

You can sort by creation date or by Title. Titles can be entered in the Info Window, command-I.

You can also have Photos sort albums in a folder by control clicking on the folder and using the menu that appears:

The same choices are available.

Are you able to Control (right) - click on the My Albums folder and sort alphabetically like this:
